Malik’s start in the hospitality industry began in 2006 when he opened the Holiday Inn Express in Grand Blanc. He has since cultivated a relationship with IHG, a global hotel company, which culminated in the Amerilodge Group. The company manages, operates, and owns hotels across the Midwest. Prior to his career in hospitality, Malik held several executive leadership positions in fi nance at hospitals in Michigan, including Henry Ford West Bloomfi eld Hospital.
